LED Museum have published a review of the LumaRay FL12RX Fog flashlight which will become available to consumers about mid-year. 'The LumaRay FL12RX Fog Flashlight is a new LED flashlight that features six white LEDs (behind greenish yellow lenses), five blue-green LEDs, and one amber LED in the bezel, powered by three C cells in the barrel. It is specifically designed to be used in foggy or misty weather; the yellow color is known to enhance visibility over blue or white in these conditions.'

Review: Lumaray FL12-RX LED Flashlight - Gear Diary

Lumaray-FL12-RX-LED.jpg

The Lumaray FL12-RX LED flashlight has been reviewed over at the Gear Diary. 'The FL12-RX is available in Gunmetal Hero, White, Black, 2-Tone Grey-Yellow. I was sent the white version, which is accented with translucent yellow. Included in the box are the FL12-RX flashlight and an instruction manual. Even though my first impulse would be to call the flashlight’s body by the generic term “plastic”, there is nothing cheap or cheesy about the materials from which it is composed.'

A review of the LumaRay FL6-2006 led flashlight has been posted over at Dan's Data. 'When I first checked out the FL12, the LumaRay model released after the FL6, I noted that the LEDs in the 12-diode FL12 are considerably better than the ones in the FL6. So the FL12's rather brighter, but also runs for longer from one set of three C batteries. The FL6 runs at "full brightness" for longer, but one of the major selling points of LED flashlights is that they continue to work for a very long time on tired batteries, at lower brightness. And the FL12's better at that than its six-LED sibling.'
