DOMINANT introduces a new hot InGaN SpiceLED series, the SSx-HLD-xxx. The devices of this LED series are able to withstand a high operating temperature of up to 110°C setting a benchmark for similar competitor's products. This miniature LED series use an industrial standard 0603 (S-Spice) package outline with a package height of only 0.6mm! This high CRI LED is compliant to the United States Energy Star guidelines; fulfilling the required minimum CRI of 75.

Out of the laboratory: High-flux LED prototype with a feel-good effect
An LED that offers high efficiency, good color rendering and a pleasant warm white light has now been developed in the laboratories of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. The prototype therefore offers three important properties that together are essential for general illumination applications, namely a color temperature of 3000 K, a color rendering index of 82 and an efficiency of 104 lm/W.
