Pelican 8060 LED Flashlight Review - Police One

Pelican-8060-LED-Review.jpg

Police One have published a review of the Pelican 8060 LED flashlight. 'The 8060 LED is made of Pelican's nearly indestructible, non sparking resin with a metal heat sink area in the head. It has a deep polished reflector that throws a concentrated center shaft and a very usable concentric spill beam. The light rendered true colors and delivered a wide field of view down a hallway or alley. The test model did not have any dark spots, nor did it deliver the "donut of darkness" of lesser tactical lights.'

Review: Pelican Recoil 2410 LED Flashlight - The Ws Reviews

Pelican-Recoil-2410-LED-Flashlight.jpg

A review of the Pelican Recoil 2410 LED Flashlight has been posted over at The Ws Reviews 'The 2410 runs on four AA batteries, and the body has a flat cross-section that makes it very easy to carry despite being larger than its cheaper 2xAA Maglite cousin. Its plastic body comes in black or yellow, and the "PL" version that I have costs a few extra dollars but has the glow-in-the-dark bezel that makes the light easy to find when it's off. I highly recommend it. It's also submersible, pressure-rated to 500 feet, and resists all kinds of chemicals that I wouldn't want to have splashed on me anyway.'

Pelican 7060 LED Flashlight Review - Blue Sheepdog

Pelican-7060-LED-Police-Flashlight.jpg

Blue Sheepdog reviews the Pelican 7060 LED flashlight from a law enforcement perspective. 'Since the Pelican 7060 uses LED technology instead of a less efficient incandescent bulb, run time is 1.5 hours. Not bad, especially considering my department issued Streamlight Stinger is advertised as having a run time of “up to one hour. Another advantage of the Pelican 7060 flashlight is that it is rechargeable. Pelican states that the flashlight will recharge to full power in less than five hours. So, even officers that work 12-hour shifts need not worry about having enough time to fully charge their flashlight before returning to work.'

While a flashlight is extremely useful at night or in dark spaces, you can be particularly unnerved trying to locate the instrument during actual dark conditions. Pelican products has sought to address this problem with their new offering of photo-luminescent flashlights. 'Pelican Products created glow-in-the-dark versions of their most popular flashlights which will feature photoluminescent lens rings. Flashlight Reviews: Pelican M1 Luxeon Led Flashlight

Pelican M1 LED.bmp

'The Pelican M1 LED, model 2310, is a very professional looking, straightforward light. It uses a Luxeon I LED for light, a regulator circuit to maintain constant output for as long as possible, and utilizes one 123A lithium cell for power. The body is machined aluminum with what appears to be a Type II anodized black finish. The head and tailcap have 8 flat plateaus machined in to help prevent the light from rolling off of a surface. The switch is just below the head and the body tube has a raised knurled area for grip. The knurling is not aggressive at all. The tail cap includes a water resistant vent and an internal spring which serves as the negative battery contact.' For an investment of $55 or more you get an attractive as well as a very handy device in the Pelican M1. I think I would have to constrain myself however from playfully activating the red "reverse-clickie" switch.
