Fenix L2D Review - Ecovelco

Fenix-L2D-Review.jpg

Ecovelco have published a review of the Fenix L2D LED flashlight. 'The L2D has 6 output levels: 4 in standard mode (3 levels and 1 strobe) and 2 in turbo mode (1 steady and 1 strobe). Twisting the light head changes the light from standard to turbo mode. Within each mode, the different output levels are accessed by a button on the back of the light. The same button also serves as the on/off switch. I suspect most people will use the brighter turbo mode for commuting. The flashlight instructions warn against running in turbo mode for over 10 minutes at a time for fear of overheating, but from all reports this is not an issue, particularly on a bicycle where the airflow will keep the light sufficiently cool.'

Fenix L0D Pocket LED Superflashlight Review - Windows Fanatics

Fenix-L0D-Pocket-LED.jpg

Bill Webb writing over at Windows Fanatics has posted a review of the Fenix L0D Pocket LED flashlight. 'Operation is simplicity itself. Turn the head of the light counter-clockwise, as seen from the rear, and it responds with the intermediate setting. Turning it off, then back on, within 1.5 seconds sets it to “low.” Another quick turn off and on sets it to the “high” position. Turning the L0D off for more than a second and a half resets the sequence, so it always starts at “medium,” probably the most useful arrangement for most users although I’d prefer a straight low-medium-high sequence myself. (What can I say; I’m a linear thinker.)'

Fenix E1 LED Flashlight Review – Cracker Boy

Fenix-E1.jpg

A review of the Fenix E1 LED flashlight has been posted over at Cracker Boy. ‘Construction is of “aircraft aluminum,” whatever that is, and while it’s not as thick and tough as some I’ve seen, it should prove to be adequately durable. I would expect the glass lens to be the most vulnerable part. Mine is a pleasant “aluminum” color with a type III anodized finish (the hardest). They are also available in black type III. The back end is flat to permit use as a “candle,” and there is a clever arrangement that allows you to do so even with the supplied split ring and snap fastener attached. It ships with the aforementioned, and a spare o-ring. A pocket clip is available as an add-on, and it isn’t a bad idea because the E1 is essentially round, and prone to rolling.’

Fenix L0D CE Reviewed

Fenix-L0D-CE.jpg

The Fenix L0D CE miniature flashlight has been reviewed in a forum over at Backpacking Light.com. 'The Fenix LOD-CE is a mass produced one aaa cell penlight which is currently in a class by itself. It measures about 3” long by ½” wide, has 3 brightness levels as well as strobe and SOS. (I consider these last two modes mostly worthless.) The high beam is rated at an amazing 50 lumens, with a measured runtime of 1 hour and 20 minutes with an E2 lithium. For comparison, this is about twice the level of the original luxeon lights such as the ARC. Medium output is 20 lumens for 4 hours, while low produces a still quite bright 7.5 lumens for 9 hours. (http://lights.chevrofreak.com/runtimes/Fenix%20L0P-SE/) The listed weight is 14.5 grams, and my weight with key ring, clip, and aaa lithium is about 24 grams.'

Fenix Civictor V1 Reviewed

FenixCivictorV1.jpg

The Fenix Civictor V1flashlight uses a single AA battery to power its 1 watt Luxeon LED bulb. If you are uncomfortable with the absence of an on/off button this may not be the light for you since it is operated with a twist of the flashlight head. 'It comes in a thick aluminum body protected by a Type II anodized finish, and has an AR (antireflective) glass window in its "business-end" to protect the LED and reflector.'

Light Refineries.org: Fenix L2T Luxeon Led Flashlight

Fenix L2 Luxeon Led Flashlight.jpg

Light Refineries reviews the latest addition to the Fenix line of quality flashlights. 'One can essentially think of the L2T as a two-cell power pack for the LED head. In fact, the heads are identical and they are interchangeable. As such we will highlight only the key differences between the two lights. Two cells offers substantially longer runtime, and a brighter high beam, amongst other benefits. The most surprising thing about the Fenix L2T though, is its physical appearance. While the L1, L1P, and L1T all share a common body style, the L2T departs from this and instead resembles a completely different light!

Light Refineries Review: Fenix L0P 1 Watt R-bin Led Flashlight

Fenix L0P.jpg

The Fenix L0P is a one AAA cell flashlight that has a white Luxeon I LED at the bottom of an almost-smooth reflector. 'The L0P uses the tougher HA3 anodizing which is more wear resistant, and that makes it an even better candidate for keyring carry since keys tend to tear up Type II really fast as compared to HA3 (speaking from personal experience too). I used to carry a popular aluminium AAA light with me and I eventually bought the silver version as it would disguise the wear caused by the keys. My HA3 Surefire on the other hand does show wear after 2 years of nonstop carry, but it’s not as bad as a Type II light. Great to see that Fenix is using HA3, it adds a lot to what is already a fine light.'

Fenix L1P 1x AA Luxeon 1W LED Flashlight

fenixl1p.jpg

If the Fenix L2P is a bit too "bulky" for you to carry around, you need to check out the Fenix L1P which uses only one AA battery but is one of those lights you can have concealed in your clothing and not be aware of its presence. 'The Fenix L1 uses a single AA battery to drive its 1 watt Luxeon LED. The switch button is not only easy to operate with one hand, but it is recessed into the tail frame so the flashlight can stand up on its end, illuminating a room like a candle. The compact, lightweight, and precision-made flashlight comes with a lanyard as well as a belt case so you can carry it in your pocket or on your belt.'

Fenix L2P 2x AA Luxeon 1W LED Flashlight

fenix1.jpg

The Fenix L2P is the one of those lights you would carry around with you since it fits easily inside your pocket, would hardly get crushed and most importantly of all, provides a nice white focused beam of light particularly suited for close quarter observation. 'The Fenix L2P is the Premium model of the Fenix L2 series (actually there are only 2 - the standard and the premium). Both use 1 watt Luxeon LEDs for illumination, are powered with simple, easy to find AA alkaline or rechargeable cells, and are small and lightweight. The premium model uses an R Binned Luxeon (higher quality) and has a type III anodize hard coat finish.'
