A review of the 4Sevens Quark AA multimode flashlight has been posted over at the Layman's Flashlight Reviews. 'One interesting fact is that the circuitry of the Quark AA is intelligent enough to be able to distinguish between the powerhouse 3.6V 14500 Li-ion and it's similarly sized 1.5V AA Alkaline (or 1.2V Ni-MH rechargeable). The AA is capable of running equally well on both cell types, but when presented with the lower voltage cells, it limits the output in max mode to providing 300mA to the diode in order to save the cell from fatally high draw current. This probably makes the Quark AA the most versatile of the series when it comes to powering options.'

A review (unboxing, comparison shots, beamshots) of the 4Sevens Quark Series flashlights has been posted over at the Candle Power Forums. 'Quark123: I think this light maybe a little too small, also, there are some big problems I don't like... The clip is under tension, and normally, I would say that it is a good thing, but because of its placement, once you remove the battery tube, the clip moves into the area where the tube used to be, making reattachment extremely hard. also, loosening the head is very hard with the clip in the way.

A comparison review of the 4Sevens Quark AA - single AA model flashlight has been posted over at the Candle Power Forums. 'BUT the one thing to notice is the beam - how artifact free the Quark seems - this is due to self-centering of the LED to reflector - there is a special plastic piece that self-centers the LED dome to the reflector - very clever and effective. The beam is also much wider than either the Fenix or NiteCore which makes it perhaps more useful indoors......'
