The Energizer Personal Alarm and LED Light has been reviewed over at Absolute Gadget. 'It’s rounded, contoured bulb setting did still throw the light easily across a room, but this was well short of its keyring brethren. And when it came to the style stakes, the Personal Alarm and LED Light was also losing. The Safety In The Dark website, which is sponsored by Energizer, might describe it as "compact" and "stylish", but we could quite easily pull the company up on both those points. However, this is no mere one-trick torch – and the second function up its sleeve left its Hi-Tech cousin standing when it comes to personal safety.'

Absolute Gadget have published a mini review of Energizers' Hi-Tech stainless steel LED torch. 'For starters, Energizer reckons the LED bulb that’s fitted inside the unit is good for 8,000 hours’ worth of use. And while we pride ourselves on our rigorous testing, it’ll be next year before we let you know if that’s true or not. Slightly easier to test is the battery life, which is claimed at 30 hours and hasn’t given up the ghost yet despite about 10 hours hard labour in these cold winter evenings. And what about the range of the thing! The dual 2032 batteries contained inside combine with the LED bulb to kick out enough light to reach the wall of the building opposite our offices. That’s around 20 metres away.'

Web Bike World reviews the relatively inexpensive "SwivelHead", Energizer Contractor Industrial flashlight. 'The Energizer Contractor Industrial Flashlight (aka "SwivelHead") feels nicely balanced in the hand; it has soft black rubber grippy surfaces all over. There's an on-off switch that falls right under your index finger, no matter which hand you're using. The switch has a nice tactile feel and it works great -- except it might be almost a touch too sensitive, as it's easy to turn the flashlight on when you're picking it up or putting it down, and you might not notice that you've left it on. There's a thumb wheel that allows you to easily swivel the head up and down through 180 degrees; I'm not sure how useful this would be when you're holding it in your hand, but it's really useful when the flashlight is balanced on your toolbox and you can point the beam to a precise spot. The unit also has a belt clip that makes it easy to hang it on your pants pocket when not in use.'
