A review of the Wicked Lasers Executive Series Nexus laser pointer has been posted over at ChipChick. 'The Executive Series Wicked Nexus laser is quite the looker with its black polished brass body, weighs less than an ounce, looks like a designer ink pen and measures in size at 13 mm x 143 mm. It operates on two AAA batteries and can maintain 2 hours of battery life, has a momentary on/off button and has a life expectancy of 5,000 hours and comes with a 3 year warranty. On its site, Wicked Lasers has a pretty easy and very informative demonstration as to how lasers work. Also, I found it very any interesting how they explained what distinguishes one laser from another (don’t worry you don’t have to be physicist to understand the concept and the terminologies).'

A review of the Planet Bike Superflash tail light has been posted over at BikeFix.net. 'Like all LEDs, the Blinky Superflash's output is very directional- the closer you are to viewing it head on, the brighter it gets, making proper mounting (facing straight back, parallel to the ground) essential. From head-on, the Blinky Superflash is, basically, unviewable. The primary LED puts out a massive amount of light, making the other two (standard brightness) LEDs look quite feeble by comparison. Planet Bike claim that it's visible from a mile away, and I don't doubt it.'

The TLR-2 also comes equipped with an integrated laser sight.]]> Providing up to 7,000 candela peak beam intensity and up to 135 lumens measured system output, the TLR-1 and TLR-2 lights nearly double the brightness of the earlier models with the next advance in LED technology. The C4 LEDs are impervious to shock with a 50,000-hour lifespan. In addition, Streamlight's proprietary deep-dish parabolic reflector provides a long-range targeting beam with optimum peripheral illumination to aid in navigation.

The TLR-2 also has a high-impact, chemically resistant engineering polymer laser housing and offers up to 45 hours of run time in laser-only mode.

Both lights offer a momentary-to-steady on-off switch, readily accessible by either right or left hands. The TLR-2 also provides a three-position mode selector switch for laser only, LED only, or both modes together.

Securely fitting to a broad range of weapons, the TLR-1 and TLR-2 mount directly to handguns with Glock-style rails and 1913/Picatinny rails. Both the TLR-1 and TLR-2 come with keys for Glock-style, Picatinny, Beretta 90two, S&W 99 and S&W TSW rails.

The TLR-1 weighs 4.18 ounces while the TLR-2 weighs 4.72 ounces. Both measure 3.26 inches in length. Police One have published a review of the Pelican 8060 LED flashlight. 'The 8060 LED is made of Pelican's nearly indestructible, non sparking resin with a metal heat sink area in the head. It has a deep polished reflector that throws a concentrated center shaft and a very usable concentric spill beam. The light rendered true colors and delivered a wide field of view down a hallway or alley. The test model did not have any dark spots, nor did it deliver the "donut of darkness" of lesser tactical lights.']]>
