The head of this flashlight is little bigger than the barrel with built in 6 groves. The barrel of the flashlight has mercerized fiber like texture and the tactical tail switch also has the 6 groves which further improves hand grip and rolling off on a flat surface. The brand name "DORCY" is clearly written on one side of the barrel. The switch is permanently fixed in the tail cap. This flashlight is a beautiful combination of bezel and barrel with the tail switch which is a nice solution to your illumination needs.'

Daily Adventures have published their review of the Energizer Trailfinder Headlamp. 'This light had many good features, the best of which was the reasonable price. Even at $21, it is about half the price of my Black Diamond Spot. I like the idea of the red LED's (if the on/off system for it had been designed better), and the other lights were plenty bright for trail running. The light shining into my peripheral vision, though, is enough to keep this from being my primary headlamp. It makes a great back-up or general purpose light, but when all is said and done, it is not the Beacon of Hope.'

A review of the Harbor Freight Gordon LED Flashlight has been posted over at the Mobile Phone blog. 'When it arrived, I took it out of the package and looked it over. "Not bad", I thought. I couldn't tell from the photos on the Harbor Freight website, but for $4.99 I assumed it was all plastic. Nope, it actually has a pretty thick machined aluminum body with real machined knurling. O-rings seal the front and rear screw-off covers, the former holding the LEDs and the latter covering the battery carrier. There's a rubber(ish) covered on/off button at the end of the light and everything seemed like it was made with more care than could possibly be expected for the price.'

The rotating dial gives a very nice feeling feedback and audible click when modes are changed. When you reach each level on the light the collar locks into position. There is a slight roughness when turing the dial, but it feels nice, it lets you know you are rotating the dial. The clicks when the dial locks into each level is very mild sound. The clicks are not loud at all, it just lets you know you have switched modes. The dial rotates a total of 100-110 degrees only.'

'I found the flashlight to be very well made , with O rings sealing every assembly , the threads are smooth and well machined , and the tail switch is very positive and solid in use . Overall there were no nasty surprises , the anodizing was well done with a nice even finish over the entire light , and one was left with the feeling that ones purchase was a wise one.'

Any type of box with a lifting lid would work fine- a chest, toolbox, tacklebox, toybox, or trunk. Good for camping or fishing. A review of the SureFire G3L-FYL LED flashlight has been posted over at the Candle Power Forums. 'The bezel and tail are aluminum like I thought it would be. Both are the standard parts we have seen before. I will not swear they are HA-BK but they are certainly not as shiny a finish as on this 9P I have here. Also the tail clicky is a dead match for the one on my U2. So is it HA-BK, I think it is possible.Also I do not understand the refusal of SF to make a Nitrolon, or Xenoy I suppose, clicky switch.'
