A review of the Surefire L1 Lumamax dual-output LED flashlight has been posted over at Associated Content. The Surefire L1 flashlight is equipped with a two-stage switch. This allows the flashlight to produce either a high-output or low-output beam. The low-output beam produces 1.1 lumens, while the high-output beam produces 22 lumens. Also, the Surefire L1 has a switch lockout so that you don't accidentally cut the unit on while carrying it around.

The Surefire L1 is also equipped with a tail cap switch. This allows you to cut the flashlight on for just a few second or to keep it on constantly. You simply have to press this switch slightly to produce a momentary low-output beam. You have to press it a little further to produce a momentary high-output beam. When you want to produce a constant beam, you have to switch the tail cap switch.'
